BLOG: Choose Sigma Connectivity to develop your audio products and be heard!

Did you know that Sigma Connectivity has its own Audio Department in Lund?

We are a large group of engineers spanning different audio fields, such as audio DSP algorithm development and acoustic hardware design and integration. We can tune a full audio DSP toolchain and audio pipeline and perform audio and acoustic validation according to up-to-date standards.

We have worked with audio and acoustics on products from tiny wearables to true wireless headsets and headphones. Conference speakerphones, voice recognition on smart speakers to full mobile telephones.

To support this work, we have a walk-in anechoic room with a low-frequency cut-off of ~250Hz and a very low acoustic noise floor of 12dB SPL (A). We also have two smaller anechoic chambers and reverberant rooms that are reconfigurable to comply with multiple standards, such as ETSI EG 202.396 & ETSI TS 103.224, Microsoft Teams and Amazon Alexa.

To power these rooms, we use Head Acoustics Acqua, Listen Soundcheck and Audio Precision for audio and acoustic measurement, and Klippel Analyzer for loudspeaker characterization using a laser measurement head.

Our work in these fields takes your product to the top of the market in performance terms. Your customers will be heard and hear others in noisy environments. Your customers won’t need to repeat themselves when they talk to your smart speaker, regardless of what’s happening around them. Your customers will tell their friends about how good their music sounds through your device.
