THE 5G LABS
Sigma Connectivity’s mission is to innovate, create value, and growth with connected solutions and devices that create impact. In 2016 Sigma Connectivity became involved in Ericsson’s development of 5G 28GHz and 39GHz base stations and since then we have been part of the global 5G development.
Since 2016 we have been working with 5G for cellular handsets, IoT devices as well as base-station technology. The latest agreement with Qualcomm grants us access to the development license for their latest 5G IoT technologies, chipsets, and software. When combined with the extensive investments made in our 5G labs and senior development team, we are ready to lead and assist in the 5G revolution.
MVG SG 24 (Large)
Our main chamber for verification of the antenna and the system’s performance of the DUT is an SG 24. It is a large anechoic chamber from MVG, Microwave Vision Group, with a turntable and ring-mounted 24 dual-polarized probes. In this chamber complete 3D measurements are done and with the possibility to get the 3D pattern and 2D
In this chamber, we can perform measurements in the frequency range from 400MHz to 6GHz on objects of about 1 meter in size. Maximum weight is about 5kg with our polystyrene mast.
If required, we have everything needed to perform measurements on a device in various user positions.
CATR MA8172A
The Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) MA8172A is an anechoic chamber that is 3GPP-compliant CATR-method for 5G NR OTA (over-the-air) tests in a small space. It can be used for mm-wave development and conformance tests of 5G NR (new release) chipsets, devices, and medium base stations (about 10kg) up to the 39GHz frequency band.
