THE SIGMA CONNECTIVITY STORY

The Sigma Group acquired Sigma Connectivity from Sony Mobile in 2013. Since then we have successfully increased our development teams from 180 to over 700 employees and made full use of our competence which was founded in the R&D investments Ericsson started making in Lund in the early 80s.

1986

Ericsson Mobile

Ericsson Mobile Communications started to develop mobile phones in Lund.

2001

Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson was established with headquarters in Lund.

2012

Sony Mobile

Sony acquired 100% of Sony Ericsson and moved their HQ to Tokyo.

2013

Sigma Connectivity AB was founded

2015

Sigma Connectivity Inc. & Sigma Connectivity Sp. z o.o. was founded.

2016

Sigma Connectivity Engineering AB was founded.

SCE provide competent and creative on-site consultants to our growing list of customers.

2018

We aquired Lundinova AB.

This acquisition filled the growing demand for cost efficient, smaller scale projects primarily on the Swedish market. Lundinova has extensive experience of working in smaller teams with highly skilled and flexible engineers.

2019

Sigma Connectivity Aps was founded.

We opened an office in Seattle

2020

We acquired Stockholm-based WSI from Allgon AB.

The acquisition of WSI gave Sigma Connectivity a solid foothold in Stockholm and strengthened the unique capabilities and competence offered to existing and new customers.

2021

Sigma Connectivity GmbH was founded.

We opened an office in Linköping

2022

Sigma Connectivity Group AB was founded.

We announced a new parent company to add structure and promote future growth.

Sigma Connectivity MedTech AB was founded.

Sigma Connectivity Ltd was founded.

We opened offices in New York & Wroclaw.
